What was the Kū’ē Petitions ?

A formal acknowledgment and plea by Kanaka Maoli who were opposed to Annexation and the Unlawful Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Over 39,000 signatures were acquired and sent to then, President Grover Clevelands office, delivered in person by delegates of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Did it work in 1897 ?

Yes, it did, it caused then, President Grover Cleveland to issue an order to the US Military to leave and required the Committee of Safety to cease there plundering of the Hawaiian Kingdom, which returned the country back to Queen Liliuokalani. But, the committee of safety had other plans and turned it into the Republic of Hawaii and disobeyed the order given by the President of the USA.

Why is the Kū’ē Petition being circulated again in 2024 ?

Simply because, the unlawful and illegal continued strange form of occupation still exists in the Sovereign and Neutral Country of Hawaii since 1893 and it needs to STOP.

This time around the strategy is to allow the citizenry of the United States of America to help with this honorable and righteous cause to get our country back and for the Hawaiian Kingdom to thrive once again.

Who does this affect now ?

It affects everyone from every country in the entire world. Yes, it is about the continued existence of Kanaka Maoli in the world, but it also ensures that NO ONE country, organization or entity has the inalienable right to infringe upon others there ideals, morals and standards of living. It's a testament to the resiliency and resolve of us as human beings, as people , as a proud nation of Kānaka Maoli, hawaiian’s, kama’aina and malahini alike.

Petition Against the prolonged strange form of Occupation by the United States of America on Independent and Sovereign soil of the Hawaiian Kingdom. To his Excellency, Donald John Trump, President, and the Senate and Congress of the United States of America Greetings Whereas Hawaii is still under a strange form of Occupation by the United States of America since 1893, under then, President Grover Cleveland, who restored the throne and country back to Queen Liliuokalani, Whereas the Committee of Safety disobeyed that lawful order and created the Republic of Hawaii and under, then President William McKinley, who then annexed Hawaii to the United States of America in 1898, unlawfully and illegally, therefore, We, the undersigned Citizens of the United States of America, District of Columbia, from the State of________, do hereby sign this petition asking that the continued illegal and unlawful actions in which The United States of America has stolen the original inhabitants of Hawaii's identity, language, culture, lands, and livelihood are to first, formally renounce and repeal the Statehood Act of 1959, The Hawaiian Homestead Commission Act of 1921, The Jones Act of 1920, The Organic Act of 1916 and of course the New Lands Resolution Act of 1898. We, the undersigned Citizens of the United States of America, District of Columbia, from the State of________, do also support reparations owed to the people of this Independent and Sovereign Nation.
